SWT UF-5 ultrafiltration unit - (up to 5 m3/h)

The SWT UF-5 is an ultrafiltration unit with a capacity of 5 000 l/h. PAN hollow-fiber membranes filter the water inside-out, reducing turbidity and color, removing colloids and organics, and sterilizing the stream, while the salt composition is preserved. The unit is installed for pre-treatment ahead of reverse osmosis, for polishing treatment of wastewater, and in recirculating water supply loops.

In the SWT UF range, this is the mid-size model: four membrane modules with a total area of 54.8 m², compared to two modules at 27.4 m² for the UF-2,5 and six at 100 m² for the senior UF-10. In capacity it is twice that of the UF-2,5 with its 2 500 l/h, and the flush flow rate is 0.5 m³/h. The neighboring UF-7,5 is built on the same number of modules but with a larger membrane area — 82.2 m². The connection sizes of the UF-5 and UF-7,5 are the same: inlet and flush G1½, outlet G1¼, while the UF-10 requires a G2 inlet. Dimensions of 1250x1030x1870 mm match the UF-2,5 and are lower than the 2030 mm of the two senior models.

Operation is managed by a controller: it switches between filtration, forward and backward flushing, and shuts the unit down if the pressure exceeds 0.3 MPa. Working pressure is 0.1 MPa, water temperature 5–40°C, working pH 3–9. Deposits are removed by CIP/CEB chemical regeneration with acid, alkali, and hypochlorite at a pH of 2–12. The room is heated, 5–35°C, humidity ≤75%, access from 1000 mm. Service life is 10 years or more.
