SWT UF-60 ultrafiltration unit - (up to 60 m3/h)

The SWT UF-60 is the senior unit in the SWT UF ultrafiltration lineup, rated for a flow of up to 60 m³/h. Water is separated into purified and concentrated fractions at a porous membrane element under a pressure of 0.2 to 0.4 MPa. The membrane retains colloidal contaminants — suspended solids, fats, non-dissolved petroleum products, proteins, large bacteria — providing a filtration fineness of 0.1 to 0.01 μm. The salt composition of the water does not change, so the unit is deployed for clarification and organics removal, not desalination.

In the range from UF-15 to UF-60, this is the most productive model: no other version in the series is rated for such a flow, and the closest one in the range, UF-50, remains a tier below. Weight is 650 kg, the same as the UF-50; the mid-range UF-40 weighs 550 kg.

Purified water is supplied to the consumer, and the concentrate flows into drain; its volume is 10-20% of the feed water flow and depends on the quality of the source water and the requirements for the purified water. At flows of this order, this share amounts to a noticeable stream, so the drain line and the supply unit are sized for it separately. The application area is municipal water treatment, process water preparation, standalone water supply for cottages.
