SWT UF-50 ultrafiltration unit - (up to 50 m3/h)

The SWT UF-50 is an ultrafiltration unit with a capacity of up to 50 m³/h for industrial and municipal water treatment schemes. Separation takes place at a porous membrane element under a pressure of 0.2 to 0.4 MPa; the driving force of the process is the pressure difference across the membrane, which is spent overcoming the friction and interaction forces between the liquid and the membrane surface. Colloidal contaminants are removed from the water — suspended solids, fats, non-dissolved petroleum products, proteins, large bacteria; the filtration fineness is 0.1 to 0.01 μm. The salt composition of the water stays unchanged: ultrafiltration does not provide desalination.

Among the SWT UF models from 15 to 60 m³/h, this one ranks second by capacity: it covers a flow that the UF-40 and junior versions cannot reach, and falls short only of the UF-60. In weight, the UF-50 matches the senior model — 650 kg for both, while the UF-40 is lighter.

Purified water is supplied to the consumer, and the concentrate is discharged to drain. Its volume is 10-20% of the feed water flow, and the specific share is determined by the quality of the source water and the requirements for the purified water; it is factored into the capacity calculation of the supply unit. The unit is used in municipal water treatment, in process water preparation, and in standalone water supply for cottages.
