Aquaphor WS1000 system (A1000, S1000)

A 3-in-1 cabinet water-treatment system: it softens water and removes dissolved iron and manganese. Influent limits — hardness up to 34 mg-eq/l, iron and manganese combined up to 14 mg/l, manganese up to 5 mg/l. Working capacity 30 l/min (1.8 m3/h), maximum 45 l/min (2.7 m3/h) — up to 5 taps at once. It is installed as the primary filter of a private house or as a water-treatment stage, for water from a well, a dug well, or the mains, for a family of 5–8.

In the WS range, this is the model with the highest capacity. The housing (41 x 50 x 80 cm) and weight (48 kg) are the same as WS1000 A, but the contaminant limits are higher: 34 mg-eq/l versus 24 for hardness and 14 mg/l versus 5 for iron with manganese. It differs from the WS1000 P1 design in that hydrogen sulfide is not among the removable impurities, with equal dimensions and capacity. The smaller WS500 P1 is more compact (37 x 47 x 56 cm) and holds up to 3 taps.

Regeneration is triggered by the built-in flow meter and runs in one of three modes: 1.4 kg of salt and 70 l of water over 27 minutes, 3.8 kg and 97 l over 37 minutes, or 6.8 kg and 122 l over 50 minutes. There is no surge discharge to drain, so the system is compatible with septic systems. Power supply 12 VAC, 1" external-thread connection, the resin needs no replacement, service life is 10 years.
