Aquaphor WS800 system (A800, S800)

The Aquaphor WS800 system is a compact, quiet 3-in-1 cabinet for softening and iron removal of water from a well, a dug well, or the municipal water supply. It removes hardness salts up to 28 mg-eq/l, iron up to 12 mg/l, and manganese up to 5 mg/l. Flow of 25 / 38 l/min (1.5 / 2.3 m3/h) is sized for up to 4 taps and a family of 3-4. It arrives as an assembled softener — with a controller, a 12VAC power supply unit, flexible connectors, and a D=16 mm drain tube 2.5 m long.

In the WS line, this is the middle tier between WS500 and the thousand-series models. Flow and hardness headroom here are lower than for WS1000 and WS1000 P1 (25 / 38 versus 30 / 45 l/min, 28 versus 34 mg-eq/l), but the housing is shorter and lighter — 41 x 50 x 71 cm and 43 kg versus 80 cm and 48 kg. The model matches WS1000 A in capacity and regeneration modes, but takes twice as much iron and manganese (12 versus 5 mg/l), and unlike version A, does not remove organics. A reverse osmosis system is not included in the delivery.

The resin is calibrated, fixed between the screens, and fills the entire tank volume, so it works evenly, without a channeling effect, and does not accumulate iron; resource — 10 years. Regeneration runs countercurrent with softened water and is triggered by the flow meter: NE — 1.0 kg of salt and 66 l over 23 minutes, NC — 3.0 kg and 90 l over 33 minutes, AU — 5.4 kg and 110 l over 44 minutes. There is no surge discharge to drain, so the system is compatible with septic systems.
