SWT RO-24/8040 - reverse osmosis unit with pump (up to 24 m3/h)

SWT RO-24/8040 is an industrial reverse osmosis unit with a pump, for a capacity of up to 24 m³/h. Desalination takes place on thin-film membrane elements of size 8040, made by Vontron, Filmtec and similar manufacturers; the piping is made of pressure-rated PVC, and working pressure on the membranes is generated by CNP pumps.

In the SWT RO/8040 series, the model occupies the upper part of the medium range: it has a higher capacity than RO-20 and RO-21, and a lower one than RO-26, RO-27, and all larger units up to RO-210. For scale: the documented RO-15 operates at 15 m³/h with a flow rate of 22 m³/h in production mode and 30 m³/h during flushing, with three membrane housings, ten CF filters, a pump up to 11 kW, and a weight of 950 kg, while RO-10 operates at 10 m³/h with a G2" inlet, seven CF filters, and a 7.5 kW pump. RO-24 stands above both, and the specific composition of the pump group and the number of membrane housings are determined by the project.

The system operates fully automatically and can be output to remote monitoring. Built-in conductivity sensors constantly show feed and purified water quality, so drift in membrane salt rejection is visible on the instruments. Smooth adjustment of hydraulic characteristics is provided by diaphragm valves: the set permeate and concentrate flows stay stable and do not require constant operator intervention.
