SWT RO-170/8040 - reverse osmosis unit with pump (up to 170 m3/h)

SWT RO-170/8040 is an industrial reverse osmosis unit with a pump, rated for a capacity of up to 170 m3/h. This design is at the top of the series range: desalination of water where permeate is needed as a continuous flow and in large volumes. Separation takes place on thin-film membranes from leading global manufacturers (Vontron, Filmtec, etc.), pressure is generated by CNP pumps rated for heavy-duty operating conditions without loss of capacity, and the piping of the system components is pressure-rated PVC.

The SWT RO/8040 series covers sizes from 1 to 210 m3/h, and RO-170 sits in its upper part, between RO-160 and RO-180. It is set apart from the smaller versions by the scale of the design: RO-1 is built on a single single-element membrane housing with one Big Blue BB20 filter, a pump up to 3 kW, and a dry system weight of 220 kg, while RO-15 is already built on three-element housings, with ten CF multi-cartridge filters, a pump up to 11 kW, dimensions of 3700 × 1000 × 1800 mm, and a weight of 950 kg.

Operation is fully automated, with remote monitoring provided. Feed and purified water conductivity is continuously monitored by built-in sensors, and hydraulic characteristics are set by diaphragm valves with smooth adjustment. The unit is made individually to a technical specification, so the configuration is determined during design.
