Aquapro UV-S UV sterilizer (0.25 m3/h)

The Aquapro "UV-S" series ultraviolet sterilizer is designed to disinfect drinking water: in the 250-260 nm range, ultraviolet light destroys bacteria, viruses, and other microorganisms often present in water. Unit capacity — 3.8 l/min. The model is designed to work together with household water treatment systems and reverse osmosis systems.

This is the most compact unit in the Aquapro line and the only one with an aluminum housing — the other models in the section have a stainless steel SS-304 housing. The connection is also unique: the ports are fitted with quick-connect fittings for 1/4″ flexible tubing, whereas the nearest models by size, UV-1GPM (500 l/h) and UV-6GPM (1500 l/h), connect via 1/2" thread, and the larger models use 1" and 2" sizes. Inside the housing is a single quartz lamp rated at 10 W: the UV-1GPM lamp is 14 W, the UV-6GPM lamp — 20 W.

The lamp is installed in a quartz sleeve. The unit is designed for use in an indoor, enclosed space. Quick-connect fittings allow the sterilizer to be included in the line of a household filter or membrane without threaded connections — with tubing of the same diameter as the rest of the system's piping.
