Aquapro UV-36GPM-HTM UV sterilizer (7 m3/h)

The Aquapro UV-36GPM-HTM ultraviolet sterilizer, with a capacity of 7000 l/h, is designed to disinfect water with UV radiation. The disinfecting action relies on the ability of ultraviolet radiation in the 250-260 nm range to actively destroy bacteria, viruses, and other microorganisms often present in water.

This model has the same capacity as UV-36GPM-HT — 7000 l/h — and the equipment is what tells them apart: an operating hours counter and a UV radiation intensity sensor are added here. The design is horizontal, with a stand; electronic ballasts controlling the ignition of the quartz lamps are mounted inside the stand housing. Among models with the same equipment, this one sits a step above UV-24GPM-HTM (5 m³/h) and below UV-48GPM-HTM (10 m³/h), and connects via a 1 1/2" pipe.

The operating hours counter is needed to replace the emitting quartz lamps based on actual hours run: their effective service life is about 9000 hours, after which the radiation output declines. The intensity sensor shows the UV radiation output on an analog gauge and allows its decline to be diagnosed in time — for example, when the quartz sleeves become fouled.
