LC-50 lamella clarifier

The lamella clarifier clarifies water in a pack of inclined plates or tubes set at 60°: suspended solids settle on the plates and slide down into the sludge hopper, while clarified water is discharged or reused. In a rectangular housing, the pack is built up along the length of the unit, so the settling area is increased without adding height, and the clarifier remains more compact than a classic horizontal settler and requires a smaller volume of civil works.

There are no moving parts, the connection is flanged, and operation is continuous — an operator is needed only to monitor the mode and remove the sludge. Such designs are installed on municipal wastewater, mine water, effluent from dyeing and finishing, tanning, food and chemical plants, recycled water from pulp and paper production, stormwater, cooling tower blowdown and landfill leachate. A site with a sump and sludge removal is prepared for the unit.

LC-50 design: capacity 50 m³/h, dimensions 6000×3200×4500 mm.

By capacity it sits between LC-40 (40 m³/h) and LC-120 (120 m³/h): 50 m³/h.

One step down by capacity — LC-40: dimensions 5000×3000×4500 mm instead of 6000×3200×4500 mm. One step up — LC-120: dimensions 9500×3000×4500 mm instead of 6000×3200×4500 mm.
