LC-5 lamella clarifier

The lamella clarifier clarifies water in a pack of inclined plates or tubes set at 60°. Flow moves upward, suspended solids settle on the plates and slide down the incline into the sludge hopper, and clarified water collects at the top. The designs in a cylindrical housing are vertical factory-assembled units: the pack and the hopper are placed in a single housing, the site needs a level foundation and pipework connections, and civil works are kept to a minimum.

There are no moving parts inside, so power consumption is low and maintenance comes down to sludge removal and inspection of the pack. The connection is flanged. Such designs are chosen for local treatment facilities of small production sites, electroplating and washing shops, and as a pre-treatment stage where free space is limited.

LC-5 design: capacity 5 m³/h, dimensions Φ1800×3500 mm.

By capacity it sits between LC-3 (3 m³/h) and LC-10 (10 m³/h): 5 m³/h.

One step down by capacity — LC-3: dimensions Φ1500×3500 mm instead of Φ1800×3500 mm. One step up — LC-10: dimensions Φ2150×3500 mm instead of Φ1800×3500 mm.
