DUPLEX 0844/F73A ion-exchange unit

The DUPLEX ion-exchange unit consists of two housings connected in parallel. One of them is always filtering, while the other is in regeneration or standby; when the resin bed in the operating housing is exhausted, the second one takes over. This keeps softening continuous and holds the specified capacity without stopping to restore the resin bed — something a single unit cannot provide.

The purification principle is the same as in single-vessel ion-exchange schemes: water passes through a resin bed, and the ions dissolved in it are replaced by ions released by the resin; by selecting the resin, the task can range from softening and decarbonization to partial or full desalination. The unit is built on Runxin valves in the TWIN design, rated for controlling two housings at once.

Design 0844/F73A: 8×44″ housing, automatic Runxin F73A valve for two housings (TWIN), up to 3.5 m³/h, 1" connection, top mounting. The valve is designed for softening — regeneration of the ion-exchange resin bed with a reagent solution. Weight 28.394 kg.

Configuration within the line: vessel size 0844 (8×44″) with control valve Runxin F73A. This is the only unit in the line on vessel size 0844 (8×44″). The same control valve Runxin F73A is fitted on 0835, 1054, 1865, 1252 and others.

The same control valve Runxin F73A is also fitted on other vessels — 1054 (weight 35.734 kg instead of 28.394 kg) and 1865 (weight 85.614 kg instead of 28.394 kg).
