SWT Electrodeionization EDI-LX-5.0 (1.7-4.2 m3/h)

EDI-LX is the broadest series in the section: its designs cover the entire operating range, from 220 l/h on the smallest module to 9.5 m3/h on the largest, and the step between adjacent designs is small. The capacity ranges of adjacent designs partly overlap, so two adjacent designs often suit the same load, and the choice is made according to the required capacity margin.

The operating principle is common to electrodeionization: layers of ion-exchange resin between the membranes and a constant electric field that carries the ions into the concentrate and regenerates the resin at the same time. The module is installed as the final stage after reverse osmosis.

EDI-LX series module, design 5.0, with a capacity of 1.7–4.2 m3/h.

By capacity it sits between EDI-LX-2.5 (1.4–3.5 m3/h) and EDI-HP-3.0 (2.4–3.8 m3/h): 1.7–4.2 m3/h.
